Challenge your point of View
Was reading Da vin ci code and a book called User's illusion recently. Well I'm not gonna woo ahh about the conspiracy theory of Da vin ci code or slam any religion or cults. Instead i will draw out the similiar topic mentioned in both books.
As you know, Point of view have always been an important topic in my life. I always used it to analyse people and situation. To me point of view means, the thought (in its purest form) of a person about a situation / object / person based on his life experience, knowledge and truth in life. (truth in life meaning things that he belived in or thought is normal but instead is only exclusive to him)
In Da vin ci code it says that human changes the situation due to political or personal needs. This situation ends up to be the history lesson's we are studying now. And even more so, human records history to their personal knowledge and / or advantage . Therefore our study of history is our point of view of the book editor's point of view of the historian point of view of the subject's point of view of the event that happened before. So is history a record of truth or point of view?
In User's Illusion, it mentioned of a challange the point of view of what we know as FACTS or TRUTH in our days. This facts are taught in schools and we jus readily accept it. Facts like Gravity, Theory of relativity etc are jus point of view of the creator. We jus based our lives on this things as truth.
So if we raised a child telling him distorted facts of everything. What will happen? He will still grow up normal , jus that he is only normal in his point of view.
What does all this adds up?
There is no real actual ultimateTRUTH. It's all points of views. How can i end my search for the meaning of life is there isn't a TRUTH?
